Why me?

I’m Nikta Niazi—a psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, and a guide for those who are ready to meet themselves on a deeper level.
I established my private practice, Neeyaz Counselling; with the belief that healing is not just about fixing what’s wrong; it’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that were never broken. In my work, I blend evidence-based psychotherapy with the deep, restorative power of Hypnotherapy to help you shift from survival to expansion.
In our hypnosis sessions, I guide you into a calm, focused state where your subconscious mind becomes open, receptive, and ready to transform. This is where real change happens—where old emotional patterns loosen, limiting beliefs soften, and new pathways for confidence, clarity, and self-trust begin to form.
Most clients describe this experience as a “mental massage”—a soothing reset that brings immediate relief, emotional clarity, and often noticeable results within the first sessions.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, emotional wounds, or simply envisioning a more aligned version of yourself, my role is to hold a grounded, compassionate space where your healing unfolds naturally and safely.
Together, we’ll help you step into a life that feels lighter, clearer, and more authentically yours.

ABOUT ME

HYPNOSIS
ACT APPROACH
Hypnosis or hypnotherapy has strong clinical support for working with anxiety and stress, phobias, trauma and emotional wounds, sleep difficulties, and psychosomatic symptoms. It is also widely used to support habit change (such as emotional eating or smoking), weight management, chronic pain, and performance or confidence-related challenges.
Many clients find hypnotherapy particularly helpful for intrusive thoughts, self-sabotaging patterns, low self-worth, and relationship dynamics that repeat despite conscious effort to change. Hypnosis helps address patterns that have felt unchangeable—symptoms that persist despite years of effort or other therapeutic interventions.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy combines mindfulness strategies with behavioral interventions, encouraging clients to accept their thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with their values.
ACT has strong evidence for supporting individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, chronic stress, trauma-related symptoms, obsessive or intrusive thoughts, and emotional avoidance. It is also highly effective for concerns such as low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, identity transitions, and burnout.
IFS APPROACH
Internal Family Systems, a therapeutic approach that's like a roadmap to understanding and harmonizing the many parts that make you, well, you!
IFS is especially effective for working with trauma and complex trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, shame, and low self-worth. It is also highly supportive for emotional regulation difficulties, inner conflict, self-sabotaging behaviours, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and relationship patterns that feel confusing or contradictory.
AEDP
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy focuses on transforming emotional experiences by emphasizing the therapeutic relationship and encouraging the processing of emotions in the present moment.
AEDP is especially effective for trauma and complex trauma, attachment injuries, and developmental wounds that arise from experiences of emotional neglect, misattunement, or relational harm. It supports individuals who feel emotionally blocked, disconnected, overwhelmed by feelings, or unsure how to trust closeness with others.
This approach is particularly helpful for anxiety, depression, emotional shutdown, relationship difficulties, chronic shame, and patterns of self-criticism that stem from unmet emotional needs.
